Caroline Cleveland Sholl

Pastoral Counselor licensed by the National Christian Counselors Association

Caroline Cleveland Sholl is a Pastoral Counselor licensed by the National Christian Counselors Assn. She is also a certified Temperament Counselor and a Professional Member of the National Christian Counselors Association. Caroline has a special tenderness for mothers with young children, those struggling with depression and anxiety, the terminally ill and their loved ones, and adult children of alcoholics.

Caroline Sholl is a certified temperament counselor and a trained Gottman Leader.

A native of New Orleans, LA, Caroline graduated from
St. Mary's Dominican High School. She attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with degrees in Child Development and Community Development & Social Policy. It was during her time at Vanderbilt that Caroline discovered her love of mentoring underserved children.

Motivated by her desire to perform works of mercy, Caroline began coordinating after school programs for the youth in the public housing projects in Washington, DC, and later co-founded Kid Power-DC in 2001.

Caroline became a certified Natural Family Planning instructor through Northwest Family Services in 2009. She was the primary instructor for the Archdiocese of New Orleans Office of Marriage and Family Life for eight years, instructing hundreds of engaged couples in fertility awareness.

In 2017, Caroline began working as a Fundraiser and Event Coordinator at Woman’s New Life Clinic, a free pro-life clinic for women in unplanned pregnancies in New Orleans. It was as Director of Development at this faith-based organization that Caroline came to see first-hand the value of counseling, of truly walking alongside the brokenhearted.

In 2021, Caroline felt a call to work with the dying and began volunteering with Notre Dame Hospice. To better serve her hospice patients and their loved ones, she became a certified End of Life Doula through the University of Vermont’s Medical School.

Caroline currently resides with her husband, Brian, and 4 children in Madisonville, LA. You can find Caroline in her garden, going on family adventures, and tending to her menagerie of pets. You can schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation with Caroline now to see if she is the right fit for your pastoral counseling needs.
